Boundaries between Men & Women

We kicked off 2020 excited to host our yearly valentine special ‘QUESTIONS, CONFESSIONS & CLOSURE’. This year’s topic was dubbed ‘Boundaries between Men & Women’ - an honest conversation that delved into the intricacies of dating in the new decade. The conversation was hosted at Kukun, Nyaniba Estates in Ghana on the 13th of February 2020 and moderated by our Global Curator and Founder, Sydney Sam.

It was a fun, engaging and brutally honest conversation between men & women. During the conversation, very interesting questions came up; Do our partners have the right to access our phones? Who initiates sexual boundaries in a relationship? Are we entitled to information that our partners are not willing to disclose to us? What boundaries have you set with your girlfriend or boyfriend? What boundaries should exist between a wife and a husband? Do boundaries varies depending on the relationship progression? What are your honest responses to these questions?

By the end of the event, different, controversial, triggering and not-so-intrusive perspectives were shared and heavily debated. The main takeaways were understanding what boundaries looked like, when and how to set them and communicate them. Conclusively, we all walked away more enlightened and ready to set boundaries!
